Dr. Tendler Treats Several Mental Health Issues
In 2006, Dr. Tendler and Dr. Laura DeLuca opened AMHC, which has grown to include three psychiatrists and over four thousand satisfied patients. Dr. Tendler treats several mental health issues ranging from adjustment disorder to schizophrenia and conducts intensive psychotherapy for individuals and couples. In 2009, he began using rTMS for treatment resistant disorders. Since then, he has been the Principal Investigator for several clinical trials, with the most recent investigating the effectiveness of dTMS for Bipolar Depression, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Smoking Cessation, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Since 2015 Dr. Tendler has been the chief medical officer for Brainsway Ltd.
Dr. Tendler graduated in 2002 from the State University of New York Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn with Distinction in Research. From 2002-2004, he trained at Tulane University in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry followed by two years at the University of Chicago in General Psychiatry, where he was chief resident and course director for psychosomatic medicine. He is currently Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine. He is also certified by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in Behavioral Sleep Medicine and trained at Rush University Medical Center.
