Alison Stier, ARNP
Alison completed her BS in Nursing at Columbia University, NY, NY. After finishing a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing at New York University, Alison worked as an advanced practice psychiatric nurse clinician in different settings, including an emergency psychiatric walk in clinic and a psychiatric emergency room. Alison started work at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NY in 1992. During her career at Mount Sinai, Alison was authorized in New York State to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and started a position at Mount Sinai Medical Center as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 1999. In 2007 Alison completed a Post Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Columbia University. Alison has maintained ANCC certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Over the past 15 years Alison provided care to clients with a broad array of mental health problems and psychiatric diagnoses in the Psychiatric Ambulatory Care Services at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Alison planned for and recently moved to Florida and looks forward to continuing to care for clients providing individualized medication management and supportive psychotherapy services. Psychoeducation and stress management skills have been an important focus of the treatment she provides. Alison is a member of the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners and participates in meetings of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association local southeastern Florida Nurse Practitioner group.
